Tournaments are usually around the 26-27th and point are distributed around 10-14th of the next month (always on a thursday though).
But with the tournament being so early this time I predict we will get our points on the 1st of 2009.

Not with Wintersday still running until the 5th. Also, the Anet employee's probably have off during these holidays, like so many other people do. Look for points no sooner than Jan 8th.

Around 8th does seem more realistic

You will get your points on a Thursday when they want to distribute them.

Unlucky me. Due to you I made some bet. But no points. I spoke to XA in KC and he ordered to wait 11 mins for my reward - but didnt get it.

I got that message too just after they added the points but I rechecked a few HOURS later
and got my points.
Even if you didn't pick right you still get 5 points just for playing so you will get something

Did you also register your char name with Tolkano as well as normal registration on the XHP site?
You only need to do this one time not every month
I have noticed many new players miss this step with Tolkano.
Hope you gt your points

yesterday, the agent had no points for me, and a friend of mine got points on one acct but not the other this evening. Today I checked again and there were 80 pretty little points just a sittin' there

Maybe the Xunlat agent has laaaaag

For those that couldnt get their points, try a different char - I couldnt get them on one, but signed on with another and they were there, just a quirk of Xunlai I think.

Stupid me, remembered and did the GvG, but didnt do the 1v1 at the same time and forgot, so a lean month for me

Oh wow, someone needs to bump the thread Regina posted a few months back.

There is a time delay between when the update with the XTH rewards comes out and when each person's account can receive them. If you go to the npc a bit soon after the update and he doesn't give you points, check again in a few hours and you should recieve them.

Wait a bit(an hour or a day, whatever) and try again. If you still don't have them in a weeks time, contact Support and they get it resolved.

Minutes after the update, is not the time to panic. It's not like there is a rush.

Regina explained here that they have to connect two databases to transfer the points and it takes time. Unfortunately, sometimes the transfer doesn't happen correctly and points are lost, but only temporarily as it seems they corrected these mistakes in the past by giving people back what they lost in the previous XTH.

It's usually a good idea to wait a little bit after the update has been released.
